How do entrance exams work for university applicants?
Payment unlocks the exam. Once a candidate's fee is captured, they launch the Eklavvya entrance exam by SSO from the same portal — no second login and no separate credentials to distribute. Exam-linked intake is configurable per institute and course, so programmes that admit on marks alone simply skip the step.
Does ePravesh publish merit lists with category ranks?
Yes. You define the scoring weights, tiebreakers and category rules, and the engine produces a ranked snapshot of paid applicants with overall and category-wise ranks. You can review, correct and export to Excel or PDF before publishing, after which each candidate can check their own result on the portal. Merit lists are configurable per course.
Do we need the AI Counseling Suite to run admissions?
No. The admission engine is native and complete on its own — programme catalogue, forms, fees, payments, hall tickets, entrance exams, merit lists and the applicant console all run without it. The AI Counseling Suite is an optional add-on enabled per institute; it handles the query volume on WhatsApp, voice, chat and email when 50,000 enquiries would otherwise hit your counters.
How is each university's applicant data kept separate?
Each university gets its own branded subdomain with data scoped to it alone — no shared spreadsheets and no cross-institute leakage. The platform is aligned to CERT-IN and ISO 27001 practice with DPDP in mind, and isolation is enforced per institute rather than left to a UI filter.
