About M.E.S. Abasaheb Garware College

Abasaheb Garware College is one of the institute of the Maharashtra Education Society popularly known as MES. M.E.S's Abasaheb Garware College is a premier educational institute of Pune city; the educational hub of India. The college has a junior and senior college wings. The senior college offers under graduate and post graduate courses in Arts and Science Faculty. All the Courses are affiliated to University of Pune.
In the year 1996, department started post graduation course, M. C. S. (Master of Computer Science). From the Academic Year 2009-10, Department has also started M.C.A. (Science Faculty) post graduation course. Now, Computer Science is a well-established, well-equipped department of the college. There is a separate laboratory for computer science, with all necessary software & hardware. The department has a departmental library. In which in all 150 distinct titles are present. All these books are either complementary copies received by the faculty members or donated by the past students of the department. Library facility is used by students as well as teachers. The books are issued to students for home reading as well as for quick reference during their practical.

The Department of Chemistry is one of the oldest departments in the college. The teaching faculty of the department is a strong mix of experience and youth, which make the teaching programs dynamic and contemporary. Most of the faculty has doctoral qualifications, as well as a strong research background. The department has a recognized research centre for Ph.D. and presently three research students and two faculty members are working for Ph.D.
