General Information
Shastri Group of Institutes, formed in 2001, having the core competency in aerospace engineering, management and schooling education, set up flagship institute ‘Indian Institute for Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology at Warje, Pune. Working towards specialization, it formed Aeronautical Engineering & Research Organisation to cater to the needs of education, training, research and collaboration in aviation education. Present and futuristic needs of aviation domain are met with professional delivery of high quality education through Indian Institute for Aeronautical Engineering and Information Technology for BTech Aerospace Engineering and AMAeSI in Aeronautical Engineering; Wingsss College of Aviation Technology for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering; and ASMA Institute of Management for Post Graduate courses like MBA, MCA and other courses like MMM, MPM etc. Aviation Hospitality trains students in aviation hospitality, ground duties, and also grooms students in soft skills. Children are groomed to be responsible citizens through Prestige Public School. Delivering quality education through competent faculty and excellent infrastructure is the motto of the Shastri Group of Institutes.
Infrastructure

Ours is the only Institute that proudly possesses two-seater Aircraft - Pushpak, ISKARA, Fokker Frienships a/c and BELL helicopter (in running condition), for practical demonstration of aircraft systems and components. Apart from this, the lab has components / systems of military and commercial aircrafts. These give the students the actual feel and exposure of the practical aspects of theories that they learn in classroom sessions. We also have working mock-ups with actual aircraft control surfaces to show operation of ailerons, elevators, rudders etc. The Institute also has two Gas Turbine (GT) engines and one Auxiliary power unit.

The Institute has evolved new laboratories for Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Applied Mechanics. The Institute has further expansion plans to add equipment, such as special purpose machines, lathes, tool-kits, milling machines, wind tunnel and structural testing units. The In-house Workshop is equipped with the latest facilities and equipment for metal working, such as lathe machines, shapers, drilling machines, power-saws, welding tools, transformers, etc. Apart from that, equipment to provide hands-on training in carpentry and fitting are available.
